Title: G20 - G20 - When the GFC came to Dinner
So they came, they hugged, they ate and took their paper promises back home again to their electorates. But did they achieve anything? How easy it seems to make bold promises with other peoples money, or peoples pretend money anyway.
Yes we all care about the poor... 'Have you met the poor?' They are very nice people I hear. Actually... I think we ARE the poor, no sorry, that's the people who don't have any money and have to grow their own food. Well I'd hate to be in their position, imagine having to grow your own food! I guess the poor countries really need the 750 billion of pretend money... After all, their leaders have mansions and security police and armies and death squads to pay and look after.. and we wouldn't all those poor leaders from poor countries to go poor, that just wouldn't be right would it? Did anyone tell the poor about it? Ah, of course they were too busy growing their own food to survive
Well, at least our leaders consciences are clear... Whew, that was a close call. Imagine if they didn't all agree that the world is screwed! We really would be screwed then wouldn't we! even a little depressed! So now they can get back to the more healthy and self sustaining pursuits of protecting poor international corporations from sending the poor even more broke and rescuing unsustainable and imaginary jobs for soon to be unemployed. I'm really glad they worked it all out, I was getting a little worried that Michelle was only going to be able to afford an inorganic vegetable garden at the Whitehouse instead of a real organic one. Kind of like the difference between a recession and a depression I guess
I wonder if GM has a vegetable garden? No, that would be silly wouldn't it! What does a car company need with a veggie garden? Anyway their execs have probably already bought one from some real poor people... I'm glad someone has some money otherwise we would all have to grow vegetables! I don't think the world could handle 6 billion veggie gardens, so its good that those million or so rich people aren't leaning on the world's resources too much, very considerate of them, don't you think?
